Below a list of comments from past visitors about Art Journey Private Tours. Thank you all for your kind words..
" We cannot thank you enough for the magic provided to us on our private tour of the Louvre. We are not big "touristy" people and therefore wanted an experience that would be efficient, fun, and a bit different. We could not have found it more than with you. It was one of the biggest highlights of our trip to Paris.
You were extremely knowledgeable, witty, and passionate, just a joy to listen to. We enjoyed every drop of information you had on our customized journey. You navigated us through those corridors like a pro and to be honest, just impressive.
We will definitely be booking this again when we return to Paris. For anyone looking for something that will be worth your time and money, and you really want to know some interesting facts about art, or even be inspired to tears by it, ask Art Journey Paris, to open up your mind and your world! "

" Thank you for sharing your love and passion for art as you guided us through the Da Vinci exposition. We walked away with a clearer, deeper understanding of one of the world's greatest artist and art influencer. Your ability to open our eyes to appreciate more of what we were seeing was exceptional.
When I next visit Paris (and I hope it will be soon), I will be sure to coordinate with you in advance for another tour in the Louvre.
Thank you, again! "
Lorraine & friends
" Merci Beaucoup! Tracey and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in your company, as you opened our eyes to the true beauty and history of art. We have a completely new appreciation for fine arts and the history associated with it.
I can't wait to peel away another layer on our next visit... This honestly was THE highlight of our trip to Paris. "

" Thank you once again for bringing my family the experience of a lifetime, you showed us the beauty of Versailles under the decadence, it made us appreciate the palace not for its opulence but for its relevance in architecture and history. We loved, loved it.
When we went back to the Louvre ourselves after Versailles, my husband complained it was not the same as the first time you brought us. Therefore, next time in France, we are not going anywhere without you! "
Patty, John and Madison
" Thank you for your wonderful tours. I have always been more of a math-minded person who can hardly draw a stick figure. The ability to understand and appreciate art has eluded me over the years. I have even seen traveling exhibits of Monet and Van Gogh before in the US and simply didn't "get it."
Doing the art tours with you while visiting Paris was a great decision. You said "art wasn't about how the artists made their creations but about how they thought." That and so many of the other things you taught us connected the dots for me between art and history and the evolution of humanity's ideas. It helped me relate to the artists and realize that art is so much more than what can be seen. In fact, in many ways, it's a part of my own story.
Thank you for opening up a whole new world to me! "

" Our tour with you of the Louvre was the best tour we have experienced. It was a wonderful cross section of the Louvre's treasures, at a terrific pace and with challenging, insightful commentary and probing questions that turned lots of assumptions upside down.
Your name and the tour have been raised in many discussions with friends and we have been recommending you highly. It was an incredible highlight of our trip to Paris.
As you may recall we told you that we were to have a tour with another company the following morning on the Italian Masters and I promised I would give you feedback. It was the most disappointing tour and our hearts sank as we endured it. We began in the classical era and moved on slowly. It was basically a rehash of material that you had covered but without the in depth knowledge and enthusiasm and insights. We also thought that it would focus on the Italian Masters in great detail. We had basically 40 minutes in the hall. Given Paul and I had some background on the Italian masters and their works we thought the tour would add to our knowledge given its specialisation. Unfortunately, we gained very little from the tour and it was your commentary and insights that we recalled that saved the day. It was a waste of a morning in Paris for us.
I am hoping that when friends and acquaintances come to Paris that they use your tours to experience what we did. "

" It has taken me a couple of days to write you this note, only because we are still so much immersed in your teachings to us. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the experience you have given my family. I hesitate to call your teachings a "tour", it is more of a combination in lessons of art, history and life.
This is our first time in Paris, we have such expectations of this great city, what you have done is to exceed everything we have expected. For hours, days later, our family is still discussing what you have taught us. It was most enjoyable and educational for my husband and I, and also for my fifteen year-old daughter Madison.
We hope to see you soon, and the next time we are in Paris, we will be visiting the Louvre again, and we will call on the pleasure of your company and guidance again. I can not wait to come back and visit the Versailles with you! Anyone looking for a real educational and emotional experience of the Louvre should not hesitate to do so with you and Art Journey Paris. "
Patty, John and Madison
" We all were thrilled with your customized tour, depth of knowledge and fascinating perspective on the art and the cyclical nature of the environments in which it is created. Your tour truly was a highlight and I can't wait to come back to cover the next museum with you.
Already we have forwarded your company information to two other groups traveling to Paris this Spring. Thank you again for your energy, passion and vision in creating such a memorable experience. "

" Thank you for guiding us through the Louvre, St Chapelle, and Versailles. Three tours with you and you made all of the time interesting and enjoyable. Thank you especially for your patience and attention toward my 14 year old daughter. Having you along to guide us was such a treat; we had our own art history professor all to ourselves and were able to pepper you with questions and you were always accommodating.
Your warmth and charm and enthusiasm were very much appreciated. Anybody who does not snap up your availability is an idiot.
Thank you and all the best. "

" Just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you again for the wonderful tours of the du Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. My wife and I spent several hours discussing all the things we learned over dinner following each of our "adventures" with you. These tours were one of the highlights of our 10 day trip to Paris.
I think, for us, what these tours did was dramatically accelerate our appreciation of art (even though we're in our late 50's), substantially increased our knowledge base, opened up a whole new world of interest in art (and all of its various forms) and gave us a new base line of understanding about how art has evolved over thousands of years and more importantly WHY. Your tours also gave us a clearer understanding of the social, political and moral issues which shaped the artists perspectives and their creative inspirations. In short, your tours went way beyond what can be perceived visually.
Your tours also (sadly) gave us an appreciation for what has been lost (artistically) due to ignorance, war, closed minds, prejudice, religion etc., and the need by some to have "power" over others.
We also enjoyed your passion for art and art history, your wonderful i-Pad and the way you tied works from other museums into our tours.
………and we did all of this in two, 3-4 hour tours. Our only regret is that we couldn't have done more and spent more time.
Thank you again ! "
Kenneth and Maryellen, New Jersey
" We wanted to send a note and thank you for all you did to make our trip to Paris wonderful! As we visited Italy, had other guides and experiences, we kept referring to you (and we still do) as the other guides did not have the same passion nor knowledge that you provided. We truly wished that you could have joined us for the rest of the trip. We loved how you took us on a journey and told us a story, and we learned an incredible amount that will stay with us forever.
The sights of Paris will always be with us, and we look forward to visiting again in the future. I know we when we do, we will make sure that we have another Art Journey!
All the best. "
Travis, Jill, Lily & Marissa
" I wanted to send you this note to let you know how much Sue and I enjoyed your tour and your company. We can't get over how much we were able to see and learn in the time we spent with you.
I keep thinking to myself that if I had tried to duplicate what you did, I would probably still be lost somewhere in the museum.
Thank you so much for the time you spent with us. "
Wayne & Sue
" Our tour of the Louvre with Guillaume gave us a unique perspective. His knowledge of history and politics and his ability to select work that is important allowed us to see the art from more than just an esthetic viewpoint. His knowledge of the context and the role of the work in relation to the society which produced it let me see the art as alive.
This tour was well worth the time and expense... "
Francine & Albert
" For us, the trip to the Louvre was the biggest highlight in Paris; we enjoy sharing details of that trip with our friends. Joe told me that because of that trip, he's becoming more interested in the arts and humanities.
Once again, thank you for showing us the treasures of the Louvre that evening... "
Jacqueline & Joe
" We were so privileged to have you be our guide -to share your deep knowledge of the Louvre, historically significant events, and art-specific information- all made even more fascinating with your great wit and sense of humor!
Our sister and her husband had previously used you to be their guide. They were so enthusiastic about your expertise, we signed on!!
Seriously, thank you again for such a compelling time at the Louvre. The rest of our trip was wonderful, but the Louvre made the greatest impression... We are very sorry about the tragedy that occurred in Paris shortly after our visit. For those who live there and those of us who visit there -it is a city of fantasy!! "
Sandy & Paul, Mike & Joyce
" The evening tour of the Louvre with Guillaume was a highlight of our first trip to Paris. Guillaume was friendly, open to our requests, and incredibly knowledgeable about the art and the art history of the works we viewed. It was fun and enlightening talking with him. We learned so much in just 4 hours!
The Louvre would have been overwhelming on our own and we would have seen only a small fraction of what we got to see with Guillaume. When we return to Paris next year we are definitely booking at least one more tour with him. In short, we recommend this tour enthusiastically and completely without reservation. "
Liz & Frederick, Boston
" Eydie and I want to express our sincere thanks for our wonderful tour of the Louvre. We learned quite a bit, and perhaps more importantly, we came away with a burning desire to learn even more… about history, about France, about art. It was especially interesting to hear your perspectives on such a wide variety of topics.
We can't wait until our next trip to Paris… We will certainly look for you to help us explore more of the magic of your wonderful city and its art, history and culture... "
Robert and Eydie
" I have had the pleasure of visiting the Louvre three times in my past travels to Paris. This time around, four of us arranged a private evening tour with Guillaume and it was a high point of our trip. Guillaume studied at the Louvre for three years and he clearly knows it like the back of his hand. We navigated corridors, elevators, stair cases and wings seamlessly, and if felt as though we had the Louvre to ourselves. He not only showed us the highlights (along with our requests to visit old favorites), but he gave us a context for why certain pieces were considered to be significant.
A tour with Guillaume includes his unique perspective and wry sense of humor. We learned not to just appreciate the art, but to challenge pre-conceived notions and uncontested beliefs about each piece. His made links that contextualized the art within the social, political and moral climate of the times. He is passionate about art history and we left the tour with a memorable learning experience.
We would highly recommend a private tour of the Louvre with Guillaume. "

" I wanted to thank you again for the incredible evening tour of the Louvre last week. All 4 of us enjoyed it immensely. You helped us to see the expected wonders in new ways, and debunked the common misconceptions! That was entertaining.
You also took us to the unexpected wonders of the museum and challenged us to understand their significance. It was educational and really interesting. We had asked for a crash course of art history, and thank goodness our legs were up for it. You've created a new type of tour – the "art fitness" tour.
Without your guidance and energy, we would have missed many of those things that were the most exciting to see. All in all, that was certainly the most unique and one of the most enjoyable tours we have ever taken.
Thank you again for a great experience. "
Sharon & Doug; Lisa & Adam
" Thank you also for the outstanding tour of the Louvre, and for your style of engaging us in the discussions and descriptions. I felt like I had enjoyed a semester of Art History.
My Grandsons both said how much they learned and thanked me for the opportunity to be with you. "
Shirley and family, Dallas
" We thank you for making our tours of D'Orsay and the Louvre most memorable and knowledgeable. As we said, we learned more in that one day than in all the years of art lessons we had. Your passion for history and art is evident as you relate this knowledge in a learned, interesting and fascinating manner.
We were most fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience your tour, and especially to have met you and discovered a world of arts' information. Should we be in Europe again and planning further tours, we will most certainly contact you. Also, if we know of others who are planning tours, our recommendation would be to have you as a guide.
Again, thank you for a fantastic day and a most enjoyable, learned experience... "
Trudy and George, Ontario, Canada
" Working so hard, we had to wait for a long while to get free to see Paris with our teenage children. Finally, when it was planned, my most important requirement was to have guided tours of the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay.
I searched the web and emailed a number of guides. Guillaume stood out from all of the people with whom I corresponded. He promply replied. He gave me facts, not salesmenship, and he told the truth. So, we hired him for both tours hoping they would be memorable. We enjoyed the tours more than we ever could have expected! Both our kids had just taken AP Art History and thought they knew a lot about what we would see. What Guillaume showed and explained to us, in his most special way, made them think they had not even taken the course. Guillaume not only told us facts about the pieces we saw, but also put their creation in a context that we truly could appreciate.
Having been on private tours in the past, I can only say to you -- who is right now considering taking one of Guillaume's tours – is "do it!" You will not be disappointed and you will feel as we do, that the highlight of our 5 days in Paris was not the exquisite food, was not the beautiful cityscape, and were not the treasures – it was the learning we received from Guillaume.
Merci beaucoup Guillaume!
We cannot wait to return and walk with you again! "
Greg, Cathy, Morgan, Rowan, Florida
" Thank you so much for the fantastic tour of the Louvre that you provided to my family. We learned so much and it was really enjoyable. I can't believe how much we packed into just a half day with you.
I am already recommending you to my friends. Thank you again! "
Karen, St. Paul, Minnesota
" Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed our personal tour. When I told you I wanted an architecture tour to see Roman ruins and medieval-gothic, you really came through for us. We would not have seen or understood the historical importance of Sainte-Chapelle and La Basilique Saint-Denis had you not shown them to us. We really enjoyed Cathédrale Notre Dame. We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the colorful stained glass windows. The loved seeing the Cluny Museum (housed in the Hôtel de Cluny, one of only two remaining medieval homes in Paris and containing Roman ruins). We could compare the Roman arches with the medieval-gothic pointed arches.
Your knowledge on the subject of gothic architecture is very impressive. It was so great to learn Saint-Denis was the beginning of this architecture and how so many people just don't go there because it is outside of Paris. We practically had the place to ourselves. But, what they don't know is, as you told us, it is the most important building in France and contains the tombs of all French kings. Thanks for helping us understand how groundbreaking gothic architecture was and how it distributes the weight through the ribbed vaults and flying buttresses allowing for strikingly high windows letting in tons of light. And it was interesting to know about the term "Gothic" and its original connotation. "

" We're just back to Sydney after a wonderful 3 weeks of culture and gastronomy. I want you to know that your private night tour of the Louvre was an absolute highlight, way beyond our expectations and my wife and daughters are constantly talking about that night. As novices to the world of art, you managed to bring the history and significance of the artists showcased in the Louvre to life in the most interesting and informative way.
We're indebted to you and look forward to meeting again for another tour in Paris with you. I particularly look forward to hearing and seeing more of your plans to include the gastronomic delights of Paris into your tour itinerary. "
Craig and family
" Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful Louvre tour yesterday. Your incredible knowledge of the Louvre and its treasures, combined with your ability to navigate through the exhibits efficiently, made our 4-hour tour perfect.
All of us agreed that we learned more with you than we ever would have on our own. We also know that we would have missed some of the best exhibits without the tour.
Merci bien! "
Matt (San Diego)
" I just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful, very informative tour through The Louvre - and at night! It was just incredible to feel as if we had that beautiful, enormous place all to ourselves - thank you for the evening tour recommendation!!
We hope to have the opportunity to return to your lovely city and take another tour with you. "
Carey Hellen, Scott and family
" First of all, I should tell you that several years ago I visited the Louvre with my husband. When we left, I told him that if I ever had the opportunity to return to the museum I would like to take a "private" tour in order to feel that I had done some degree of justice to the magnificence (and magnitude) of the items housed there and also to learn details that can only be gained with the assistance of an educated guide. The tour that I booked with Art Journey more than met my expectations.
Our guide, Cecilia, was a lovely and knowledgeable young woman who did an outstanding job of guiding us through the "maze". Cecilia had done a great deal of work to prepare for our tour. Our small group of five included my 86 year old mother, my two sisters and my sister-in-law. I wish to thank you for your assistance in helping book the tour online and we all wish to extend warm thanks to Cecilia for a very memorable experience. A la prochaine!
Warmest regards. "

" My wife and I for our honeymoon booked a tour of the Louvre with Guillaume. We had high expectations for the Louvre since it was our first visit and they were greatly exceeded. Guillaume added so much to our visit because he was not only able to show us what we wanted to see, but was able to add so much history and context to the art.
The visit would not have been the same without him. If you go to Paris be sure to visit the Louvre, and be sure to add Guillaume as a guide. He is exceptional. "
Paul and Heather, New Jersey
" Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us at the Louvre. Your tour was, by far, the absolute best tour which we have been on in all of France.
We will, of course, recommend you to all of our friends and associates. "
Kim, Colorado Springs
" We had done other museum tours in the past during our travels, and though with limited time in Paris, my wife and I knew we needed to book a tour for the Louvre. When searching reviews and websites for tour options, your site stood out. First your website was very professional and not the standard flashy touristy sites that offer "skip the lines" and everything else. We took this as sign that we were dealing with a professional outfit... and we were not disappointed!! Your quick response to my message requesting additional information and helpfulness with working out a meeting time was very reassuring.
However, what was truly worth every euro was the quality of the experience. To take a place that would take months to visit, to boil it down into 3 ½ hours (which was all the time we had to spend there), and make you feel like you truly experienced the Louvre is an art!! Our guide was fantastic and simply made the Louvre the highlight of our short time in Paris. You brought art to life!!
We have already decided that when we return to Paris we will book every tour offered by Art Jouney tours…they are that good!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!! "
AJ & Melinda, Washington DC
" With a professional artist in the family we had some reservations about spending so much money for the private tour. We expected little more than the canned tour offered by so many guides. Two of us had visited the Louvre in the past and felt like we knew our way around. Our expectations were low, but we had hopes.
Our tour vastly exceeded our expectations. We learned much and greatly enjoyed the experience. As we returned to the Louvre in the following days we were able to employ what we had learned to enhance our experience greatly. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and personable. We wanted to take him home. This was "value added" in a big way.
We strongly recommend this tour whether or not you have ever been to the Louvre before, and whether or not you know anything about art. You will not regret it. Worth every penny. "
Kathy, Juneau, Alaska
" We thoroughly enjoyed our day learning about the works in the Louvre and the Musee d'Orsay. Our guide had a unique and wonderful perspective to share about the masters and their work.
This tour company was recommended to us by a friend. So glad we took his advice! "
Laurel and Mark. MI, US
" We booked a private louvre tour with a mixed group- senior citizens to teenagers. Muguet was fantastic and after 2.5 hours of the 3 hour tour, my 15 year old son said "it felt like only 30 minutes! The tour ended up being the same cost as if we booked with a large group. The tour was superb.
I have wondered aimlessly though the Louvre before and wanted a better experience for my teenagers (and grandparents) they all loved it and it was a highlight in our tour of Paris. Thank you Muguet. I loved your enthusiasm and extensive knowledge. "
Debbilyn and family
" A quick note of thanks for sharing your knowledge and insights with us on a great evening tour of the Louvre.
Your guided tour was a special experience for everyone in our family, from the first-timers in our group to those who had seen the Louvre several times before. You were able to make sure that each person found it to be an intimate and memorable experience. You even kept it interesting for the kids. And I'll say this: we found ourselves at Versailles a few days later, wishing we had your guidance and knowledge along for the day. We won't make that mistake again.
We're still talking about your tour with our friends and family back home. We will definitely recommend you to friends visiting Paris in the future, and look forward to seeing you next time we're in town. "
John, Houston, Texas USA
" What an amazing tour we had on the Night Tour of the Louvre. Thank you for sharing your Top 15 amongst the countless & fabulous art and artifacts. We enjoyed every minute, Your knowledge of the art history and of the museum is fantastic.
You expertly guided us through from start to closing! I will recommend you to my family and friends. Many thanks! "
Alice, California
" We wanted to thank you for the wonderful time we spent with you at the Louvre and Versailles. Your insightful perspective of art and history made the tours both fun and very educational! We really appreciated seeing the more important pieces of art that we surely would have missed on our own.
We very much missed you at the Museo del Prado!! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. "
Dave, Debbie, DJ and Lindsay, Wethersfield, Connecticut
" A note to thank you for the "Night Louvre Tour". I found your selection of things to see in 4 hrs & your commentary, observations & philosophy to be entertaining, interesting, & of very high quality.
I had doubts that Wendy would see out the 4 hrs, but you engaged her with the tour content & that energised her so that she managed well & left wanting more.
So the tour was great value for us & gave us targets to explore with insight on other days. Next time we would want an 8 hr tour. Many thanks again & best wishes for your future. "
Richard & Wendy, Adelaide, Australia
" Just wanted to thank you so much for the Louvre tour. In my previous visits, I had felt overwhelmed by the scale of the museum and was determined to try and avoid the crowds and rushing from 1 "star attraction" to the next.
Your expert knowledge helped us gain a glimpse of the 9000 years of treasures on display and inspired us to discover more. We would definitely recommend your services to other travellers. "
Trudy and Briar, New Zealand
" Art Journey was fabulous! For starters, they were extremely responsive, flexible and informative regarding the set-up of the tour. The tour itself was perfect in customizing to our tastes and interests. Our guide provided interesting background for the artwork including important aspects of both the art technique and history.
We look forward to coming back to Paris for another tour of the Louvre soon, and we would recommend this company to our friends and family. "
Jean and Beau, New York USA
" We adored our tour of the Louvre. Our guide made the art and artifacts come to life. He was lively and knew how to keep things interesting and informative for both the adults and the children (10 year old twin girls) in our group.
We even decided to extend the tour beyond what we had scheduled because we were so engrossed. We all learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves.
We highly recommend this company and will use them again. "
Elizabeth and David, Dallas, Texas
" Our Louvre private tour with you was the highlight of our trip. Your tour exceeded all our expectations and your knowledge of the history of the artifacts in the Louvre was impressive. Your stories made everything come alive for us. You were right, the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo paled in comparison to the treasures you showed us!
A day has not gone by in the last two weeks that we have not talked about how much we enjoyed our time with you. We are sharing this with everyone we know.
We are already trying to figure out how soon we can get back to Paris. We have decided that every time we visit Paris we will visit the Louvre. We will definitely book another tour with you when we return.
All the best to you and again, thank you so much for our wonderful tour! "
Liz, Ted & Emma, Victoria, Canada
" The experience was far more than just a tour. It was like having the undivided attention of a teacher in a one-on-one setting who truly loves and appreciates the art with which he is so familiar. We learned a lot and as a result better appreciate the history and evolution of art throughout the centuries. He was able to incorporate information into our experience knowing where we were headed after Paris (Venice and Florence), which helped us appreciate the stylistic differences when we continued our travels in Italy. He also provided great advice on other sites that we should consider while visiting Paris and Italy.
Because it was a private tour, he was able to adapt and adjust to our particular preferences as we spent the days together.
Our second day was spent at Versailles. In addition to seeing the royal château, which was nothing short of amazing, he took us to the less traveled areas in the gardens – The Grand Trianon, The Petit Trianon and Hameau de la Reine, which were well worth it and a nice change of pace away from the crowds of the château. I would not have made it to these areas had he not taken us there. Having done both private and group tours, a private tour is well worth it. Next time we return to Paris, we will be calling on Art Journey for our next tour. "
David and Tracy, Tallahassee, Florida
" Just wanted to take a moment to say Merci for a wonderful tour of the Louvre yesterday. We all very much enjoyed it - your guidance through the museum, your information on works, and your sharing of information were all excellent and made the experience even more meaningful. "
Joe, Dennis and Diana, NY USA
" Thank you for twice being our recent guide through the vast Louvre Museum. When we hired you via the internet we did not know what to expect and to our great surprise you rewarded with two great days with your sharp insight and knowledge as to the Louvre's great art works. You made our visit both memorable and enjoyable as you guided us effortlessly through the museum even to the point of giving the impression the Louvre was your private museum. We were impressed by your art knowledge.
Thank you for two of the most memorable days we have ever had at art museums. I can safely say you made our visit to Paris very enjoyable.
Thank you! "
Ron and Judi, Birmingham, USA
" Absolutely the best tour imaginable! I learned more on the tour than I ever could have hoped to, our guide's knowledge was only superseded by his obvious passion and enthusiasm for the objects at the Louvre. I would recommend him to anyone, and have raved on and on about that tour to everyone since!! "
Mary and John, San Diego, USA
" You really did a great job of showing us the beauty of the Louvre and the important pieces.
Your knowledge and historical perspective were wonderful, and I know we would not have been able to appreciate the museum without your guidance. Thanks again for the tour! "
Linda & family, Virginia, USA
" I like taking private tours. It's a totally different experience than taking a group one: you get to see only the stuff you like, visit at your own pace and be able to have interesting conversations with somebody knowledgeable about what you're visiting.
It might be relatively expensive, but if your guide is good, the uniqueness and richness of the experience makes it totally worth it in my opinion; and visiting the Louvre with Art Journey Paris was the best private tour I have ever had.
Having studied at the Louvre School, our guide had intimate knowledge of both the masterpieces and the hidden gems of the museum. His explanations were insightful and entertaining, and unlike some guides that rush you through the exhibitions, he let us took the time we needed and was even eager to continue when after four hours of walking, the rest of us only wanted to be sitting at a Parisian restaurant.
Thanks for the great tour and I hope to see you soon! "
Ezequiel and Jimena, Buenos Aires, Argentina, & Charline, Lyon, France
" Besides seeing the usual suspects at the Louvre, we saw the many areas of the museum that the crowds didn't go to. Our guide's knowledge of the art/artefacts was impressive and he went out of his way to ensure my visit was a memorable one. When I come back to the Louvre I can only hope he is available for another tour. "
James, Brisbane, Australia
" My husband and I spent several months organising a six week European tour for our family. We decided that tours were necessary for the major attractions. The Louvre was one attraction we did not want to visit without a guide. Luckily, we had Guillaume as our guide! Fantastic! Our guide met us at our apartment. The apartment, at The Palais Royal, had a history and he was happy to share with us his knowledge and history of The Palais Royal.
As we headed to the Louvre we were surrounded by magnificent architecture we were advised about it's history. As we approached the Louvre, we were asked what our interests were. Our three boys, aged 14, 12 and 9, have various interests and we communicated these to our guide. His knowledge and his delivery of that information was excellent. His command of English was very good. We saw Ancient art, Paintings from several periods throughout art history, medieval art, decorative art and more.
Four and a half hours later we decided it was time for a break. Our guide had the energy to keep going, however, we could not continue. His wealth of knowledge and desire to share it with us was very much appreciated by my whole family. He was extremely pleasant, friendly and personable. I am an art teacher and would recommend Art Journey Paris for family groups and private groups without hesitation.
His knowledge and information is valid for adults and children. "
Sophie, Shaun and family, Melbourne, Australia
" I was always scared of Louvre, being so big, now I feel I left a part of my heart, so I have to go back! Thanks for the tour. "
Lilian, New York
" We are now confirmed fans of Paris as our guide's careful and excellent tour of the Louvre played a big part in that! "
Lilian, New York
" Our guide was not only personable, but was able to provide us with a complete history of the Louvre and is works of art. We spent most of our day with our guide who was able to answer all of our questions on French history. "
